Neck and Shoulders Self Care, Sunday October 3
Are your shoulders and ears close friends by the end of the day? Are your neck muscles ropey and tight? Learn how to work with your body gently to recover length and ease. Small movements done comfortably, slowly, and with attention are the key to regaining pain-free range of motion. You may feel for the first time what it's like for your shoulders to just hang from your ribcage, not from the muscles of your neck!

- Make it more fun, less torture!
The instructor has been a recreational runner for over 25 years. Her Feldenkrais training helped her add miles to her long runs--easily.

Reduce Your Responses to Stress, Sunday May 2
Do you often feel so wound up, tense, and scattered, that it’s become a way of life?
Would you like to become more resilient to stress and flexible in your responses?
Tap into your body’s ability to calm itself through breath, movement, and attention.
In this workshop you’ll be guided through three Awareness Through Movement® lessons focusing on breathing and movements of the hands and eyes. We’ll provide you with written strategies you can use anywhere to lower the activity of your nervous system. (Audio recording of the workshop will also available from instructor, on request.)

Breathing Full & Easy, Sunday February 7
Do you catch yourself forgetting to breathe, taking shallow breaths, or constricting your abdomen? There are so many ways we can interfere with the vital function of breathing, yet there is no one "right" way to breathe. In this workshop we'll explore different ways of breathing that help bring more awareness to the muscles of the chest, abdomen and diaphragm. You will then be able to choose from a wider range of options to find what works best for you at any given moment. Improve your breathing, and you improve everything else you do! Please dress for light exercise. Participants in the workshop need to be able to get to the floor (mats) and rise without assistance.

Getting a Flexible, Long Back, Sunday, March 7
Do you have areas of your back that frequently feel pinched, tight, or just plain stuck? Most of us are always shortening somewhere in our ribcage, and have forgotten how to be long and easy. Gentle rotation and subtle coordination to help you regain your original length and ease the nice way, without putting yourself on the rack!
